A power plant is currently under construction by EDF at Montereau consisting of two Alstom combustion turbines (TAC), 185MW each, and which can be powered by fuel or natural gas. This plant, which should be operational very quickly, will be used by EDF to cope with the peak periods on the electrical network.
Alstom has awarded us with all the turbine erection works which consist of the following:
- mechanical erection, (steadying / wedging / stabilizing), adjusting of the turbo-alternator groups
- erection of the “environment turbines” piping, about 45 tons
- installation and adjusting of connected elements : skids, chimneys, (enceintes acoustiques) and ramps
The experience gained from Vaires-Sur-Marne (3 TAC) and the close collaboration of 100 employees from DTI, TRM and DML who will be mobilized on site, will be a major factor in the success of this project.
After delivery of the two turbo alternator groups to the client and the start of piping erection, the site will follow its course towards completion for the middle of June 2010.
