Esso Exploration Angola (Block 15) Limited (EEAL), a subsidiary of Exxon Mobil Corporation, has awarded Ponticelli Angoil, a company of Ponticelli Groupe, the onshore fabrication and offshore hook-up and commissioning works related to the Kizomba Satellites topsides modifications for both FPSO A and FPSO B.
The Kizomba Satellites Project is located offshore Angola (West Africa) in block 15. The project involves development of the Mavacola and Clochas fields. These fields will be developed as subsea tiebacks to the two existing FPSOs via a looped flow line system.
Ponticelli Angoil's offshore scope include the erection of approximately 250 tonnes of structural steel, 750 tonnes of piping, plus related equipment and Electrical / Instrumentation activities. They will also be responsible for executing the onshore fabrication scope of which a significant portion will be performed in Ponticelli's yard in Luanda.
Founded in 1921 Ponticelli is one of the major European mechanical contractors with an annual turnover of 550 million Euros and around 5,000 permanent employees all over the world.
